15 and under Juniors Program
- Players will play in either PONY or LL Intermediate division depending on the ages and number of players who enroll.
- 60/90 for LL Junior ball, 54/80 foot bases for PONY, 50/70 bases for LL intermediate team.
- USA Baseball authorized bats (2 5/8" Barrel, recommend -5 or less recommended IOT be ICW WIAA Middle School Baseball rules) or BBCOR and Little League authorized baseballs.
- Practice and Game times will be carefully planned to avoid conflicts with Middle School Baseball (Pioneer) Schedule to the greatest extent possible.
12 and under (12U) Majors Program
- 70 foot bases, 50 ft mound, leading authorized, dropped third strikes are in play, balks will be called after one warning.
- Home games will be played on Powderworks Field, Dupont. Compete against PONY teams from Lacey, Olympia, Lakewood, and University Place
- USA Baseball authorized bats (2 5/8" Barrel or less, no longer than 33 inches) or BBCOR and Little League authorized baseballs.
- Five teams fielded in 2022.
10 and under (10U) AAA Program
- 60 foot bases, 46 ft mound, no leading, no dropped third strikes,
- Majority of Games played on Powderworks, Pioneer Middle School (DuPont), and SHS softball field (Steilacoom).
- USA Baseball authorized bats ((2 5/8" Barrel or less, no longer than 33 inches) and Little League authorized baseballs.
- 5 teams fielded in this age group in 2022. May play Lakewood Baseball League Teams.
- Exceptionally skilled / experienced 8 year olds may request a tryout to participate (play up).
8 and under (8U / Machine Pitch) Program (City of DuPont program managed by Patriot League)
- 60 ft bases, machine pitch from 38 feet at 25-30 mph (60ft 50-60 mph equivalent reaction time), no leads or stealing on passed balls
- All games played in DuPont, Steilacoom and maybe one or two games in Lakewood
- USA Baseball authorized bats (2 5/8" Barrel or less) and AD Starr Safety 5 baseballs (softer than 10u BB but more firm than Tball).
- Eight teams Fielded in this age group in 2022
- High action / high excitement for players and families. Average time of game is 1hr15 minutes.
6 and under (6U / Tee Ball) Program (City of DuPont program managed by Patriot League)
- 60 ft bases, players hit off of tee
- Introduction to the games and rules
- Fun for boys and girls
- USA Baseball authorized T-ball bats (26" or shorter, 2 1/4" Barrel) and AD Starr Safety-1 Baseballs.
- Average game time is 50 minutes.
Little Sluggers (4 year olds) Program (City of DuPont program managed by Patriot League)
- Introduction to the sport for 4 year olds and their families.
- Team will meet once weekly on Saturday Mornings (8-9 Sessions) in uniform.
- Weekly meeting will consist of 20-30 minutes of skills and drills followed by a controlled scrimmage.
- Highly encourage parents to volunteer to coach or serve as practice facilitator. Looking for 3 to 1 Player to Coach Ratio to make it fun and productive.
- Looking to fill 12-16 Roster spots (volunteer numbers will drive this decision)
